Whoa Momma Protein: Flavor-Forward Photography for a Protein Popcorn Launch

Client: Whoa Momma Protein

Partnership: One-time product launch project (remote, 2-day shoot) for Whoa Momma Protein's new protein popcorn

Goal: Build imagery that communicated both bag size and flavor profile for a new product launch across social, the website, and Amazon.

What we made: 31 final photos and 4 GIFs, plus stop motion animations, spanning flavor-forward product photography, styled food scenes, and lifestyle content.

Where it was used: Social media, website, and Amazon.

Highlights: Remote 2-day shoot split by need, real-ingredient food styling (garlic and Parmesan for one flavor, real honeycomb for honey mustard), live online album for real-time remote review.

Value: Sean led creative direction remotely from start to finish, coordinating with a food stylist, styling flavor-specific scenes, and managing client feedback in real time through an online album.

The Challenge

Whoa Momma Protein was launching a new product, protein popcorn, and needed imagery that worked across social media, their website, and Amazon. The images had to communicate bag size clearly for e-commerce while also getting each flavor's profile across. The shoot was remote from the start, which meant building a workflow that let the team review and weigh in as images were captured.

What We Did

Sean led a two-day remote production split by need. Day one focused on styled food scenes, working with a food stylist to bring each flavor to life with real ingredients: garlic bulbs and Parmesan for one flavor, real honeycomb for the honey mustard variety. Day two covered the remaining assets that didn't require a stylist or model, including lifestyle scenes like a workout setting, along with the GIFs and stop motion animations. Total deliverables: 31 final photos and 4 GIFs, plus stop motion animations, delivered across two shoot days.

How we worked together

Whoa Momma Protein wasn't local, so the entire shoot ran remotely. An online album let the team review images as they came in, give feedback, and flag anything that needed adjusting, including prop swaps, without slowing down production. Splitting the two days by need kept the shoot efficient while still giving each flavor the attention it needed.

What this unlocked for Whoa Momma Protein

A comprehensive image library covering social media, website, and Amazon. The mix of styled product photography, lifestyle scenes, and motion content gave their team more than static product shots, so the launch had content that could carry the story of each flavor, not just show the bag.
