Remote Photoshoots for CPG Brands: How to Ship Products and Get Studio-Quality Content
Let me guess: you know your brand deserves gorgeous photos and videos, but the idea of flying across the country (or even just across the state) to oversee a shoot feels… exhausting. I get it.
That’s why I love remote photoshoots. They’ve been a game-changer not only for my clients but also for me as a photographer. Instead of stressing about travel, all you need to do is ship your products to my studio—and I’ll make sure they get the star treatment they deserve.
At MisaHungry Media, we’ve done this with everything from Truff hot sauce (yes, the fancy black truffle one you’ve probably seen in Starbucks collabs) to Jade Leaf Matcha. And trust me, the magic that happens in the studio doesn’t require you to be standing next to me.
Why Do Remote Photoshoots Just Work?
CPG brands live and breathe visuals. Your product photos and videos are what stop someone mid-scroll and make them say, “I need that in my cart.”
Remote photoshoots let you:
Skip the travel headaches.
Save time (no coordinating in-person schedules).
Still get professional photography that looks like you were right here with me.
Think of it like a trust fall—except instead of falling backwards, you’re shipping products to my photography studio in Seattle. And I promise, we’ll catch them (literally and visually).
How Do I Make It Easy for Clients?
Over the years, I’ve fine-tuned the process so it feels smooth, stress-free, and fun. Here’s how it usually goes:
1. Ship Your Products
Pack up your goodies and send them my way. If you can, include a few extras—I like having backups for styling experiments and safety shots. And if your items are fragile, this UPS packing guide is a total lifesaver.
2. Creative Kickoff
We’ll talk about your vision. Is this a clean ecommerce product photoshoot? A cozy holiday food photoshoot? A playful stop motion video? I’ll pull in mood boards and make sure we’re aligned.
3. Shoot Day
This is my happy place. I’ll set the scene, style your products, play with lighting, and capture every angle until your brand looks its absolute best. This is also where the magic (and sometimes the messy fun) happens.
4. Editing & Delivery
I’ll handle the image editing and video polish, so what you get back isn’t just content—it’s content that’s ready to launch. And the best part? You don’t have to leave your office (or home).
Stories from the Studio
Every brand we work with has its own personality, and each shoot comes with its own behind-the-scenes adventures. Here are a few of my favorites:
Truff x Starbucks — We crafted behind-the-scenes video and campaign photography for this collab. This shoot was an absolute blast—from setting up test products to styling every drip to perfection, every little detail was mapped out.
Elmhurst 1925 (100th Birthday Shoot) — This one was messy in the best way possible. We clinked drinks, created a mountain of glassware, and poured drinks over it for that perfect celebratory shot. Sticky? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely.
Jade Leaf Matcha — We produced a stop motion unboxing of their Matcha Starter Kit. Creating stop motion takes patience, plenty of trial and error, and, in this case, way too many cups of matcha. But the final product made every frame worth it.
Zipfizz — We spent the day bringing their flavors to life with fun, punchy visuals and playful setups—all designed to show off the energy and personality behind the brand.
And beyond these, we’ve also done remote photoshoots for Whoa Momma, From Great Origin, Dilettante Chocolates, and more, bringing their products to life without them ever having to step foot in our Seattle studio.
Why Does This Matter for Your Brand?
Let’s be real: in ecommerce, visuals are your storefront. Your product photos aren’t just pretty pictures—they’re what convert curious clicks into loyal customers. Whether you’re launching a seasonal flavor, revamping your website, or just need new content for social media, remote photoshoots keep things simple.
And the best part? You don’t have to live in Seattle. Whether you’re in New York, Austin, or anywhere else in the U.S., you can ship your products to our photography studio, and within weeks, you’ll have professional photography that sells.
From Our Studio to Your Brand’s Story
Let me tell you something, remote photoshoots aren’t just about convenience—they’re about giving your brand the kind of content that makes people stop, stare, and crave.
So if you’re ready to skip the travel, ship your products, and still get studio-quality visuals, I’d love to be your creative partner. Check out what we do at MisaHungry, and let’s turn your vision into content that actually moves the needle.
